XY&O

XY&O is the creative amalgamation of songwriters Skip Curtis (vocals, rhythm guitar), Nick Kelly (guitar, bass) and Tudor Davies (keyboards, electronic production).

It began in an Exeter dorm room - Tudor was studying at the University of Exeter when he invited Skip, an old friend, down from Cardiff to write, record, drink and eat their way into some sort of musical collaboration. 

Unaware of any intended musical direction, Skip roped in fellow student Nick Kelly in hopes of bringing another dimension to the session. The three of them sat down and in a day wrote what would become ‘Low Tide’. The song enjoyed overnight online success from a worldwide audience gaining over 28 million streams on Spotify alone.

The band's unique sun-dappled electronic pop has been coined "haze-pop" and draws influences from Empire of the Sun, Years & Years, HONNE, and Tom Misch.
